Approval of April minutes; motion by Shanda, second by K.C. Minutes approved
Jenna requested that all members read and review 2010 business/finance plan during first portion of the meeting.
New Business
- 2010 Business Plan Open Discussion:
- Susan had several suggested grammatical changes, which she will add to plan and send to Jenna this evening (05-20-09)as Jenna must submit the Plan to the County Commission Office so it can be voted on May 26th.
- Jason Karls questioned DUI Task Force’s thoughts on policy change. Susan discussed some possible ideas regarding a piece of DUI Legislation. She explained some details including changing DUI laws regarding losing the drivers license for the second offense DUI.
- Motion to change 2010 Business Plan grammatical errors only, no content change. Motion by Susan, second by Bob Larson. Approved.
- DUI Myths Ad Campaign, tabled until next meeting
- Lifesavers Conference, tabled until next meeting
- Upstream Awards Slideshow, tabled until next meeting
- Nominations for 2010 Fiscal Officers

Finances
Discussion of the 2010 Budget
- Jenna explained the meaning of “contracted” services and answered various questions regarding the fiscal 2010 vs. 2009 budget.
- Line-item, 43 hours/2 weeks, discussion was held to approve Jenna for twenty additional hours a year for use in stats research. Jenna suggested the Task Force might also use contracted services funding for a temp to do data entry.
- Motion to approve preliminary budget and approve final budget at the June meeting. Motion by Susan to submit preliminary budget to County, Second by Jeff. Motion approved.
